OBS-Air settings and connection status
OBS-Air 2.0.0 Settings
Connection password
Leave blank to disable. Accepts English letters, numbers, and keyboard symbols without spaces.
The password is stored as plain text in the scene.
Click OK after editing. The receiver restarts and disconnects the current device.
Prevent takeover
Enabled by default to block other devices from taking over. When disabled, a newly authenticated device can take over.
Resolution and frame rate
Defaults to automatic resolution and 60 FPS, preserving the received size. Optional 720p/1080p and 30 FPS settings are available.
Low latency
Enabled by default to reduce video buffering. Disable it if the network is unstable.
Follow device volume
Disabled by default. When enabled, follows device volume and mute; the OBS mixer remains independently adjustable.
Port and restart
Default port: 7800. When running other receivers, use a distinct name and an available port. Restarting disconnects the current device.

Notes

One receiver and one connected device per OBS instance. Reuse the existing source across scenes.

Enable OBS audio monitoring for local playback. For audio only, connect from the device's AirPlay audio menu.

No separate Bonjour installation is needed on Windows or Mac.

Protected video (DRM), HLS, HEVC, Bluetooth discovery, and peer-to-peer AirPlay are not supported.
